It has been ages since my last movie. Been busy with a lot of things - work, research and games. Managed to slip in a movie while doing the house chores. Still managed well with the multitasking I picked up while in SB.
The Descendants is truly a heartwarming movie. A husband, Matt King who's wife is in a coma due to a boating accident. He tends to his two daughters, Alex and Scottie whom he is not close to. Knowing that his wife will never wakes up, he confronted his eldest, Alex of the decision to let her mother go. Angered by the decision, they had a quarrel and Alex broke the news of her mothers affair. Feeling betrayed, Matt sets out in search to confront the lover to inform him of wife ill fate.
An academy award film which I don't feel much of the essence. Screenplay was definitely great but George Clooney is as monotonous as ever. I personally find him a bore with his monotone acting and voice. Wonder how he managed to snag the Best Actor at the Golden Globe Award.
