My last inbound flight entertainment which I too had it in my iPad video library. Sadly, I fell asleep from exhaustion midway. So I continued where I left off at homeI can't recall watching Johnny Depp playing in a more earthly character unlike his usual eccentric characters such as Jack Sparrow and his Tim-Burton characterization. Oh wait! There was The Tourist alongside Angelina Jolie where he played a normal character.
In the Rum Diary, Depp still portray a bit of eccentricity due to alcohol intoxication. It was a bit odd watching him that way, too normal. The story of The Rum Diary was somewhat slow but captivating. Though I was quite disappointed at how it ended, just like that. Simple and prompt with written events of the future. Doubt there will be a sequel.
