The Amazing Spider-Man

Rebooted and amazing. Spider-Man got the boot as well after Batman but does it fairs the same. I've had my mixed feelings at first and I shall confirmed that I still have mixed feelings.

It states the untold tales of Spider-Man and a follows closely to the comics. That's for sure. For once, Spider-Man's webbings were artificial and his first love interest is Gwen Stacy. What was not told in comics (or not that I've known) were the history of his parents. Never did I knew until now which explains the remarkable intelligence of Peter Parker.

Some of the storyline were off-pitched like the death of Uncle Ben and another father figure in the movie. And could The Amazing Spider-Man outdo the famous inverted kiss of the first movie? Let just say it didn't but they had a lot of it.

So we had the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Sandman and Green Goblin Jr in the Sam Raimi's rendition but don't expect a reboot of the villain. A new villain is introduced, the Lizard. Not a strong suit of villain that made the fights a bore and he looks more like the Killer Croc from Batman.

Andrew Garfield as Peter/Spider-Man is refreshing, a portrait of modern nerd and his emotions sets well. Spidy pun wasn't much but catchy for some. I still feel Tobey Macguire does a great Peter until the overacting of Spider-Man 3. Never expected that Emma Stone did great as Gwen Stacy unlike bimbotic Bryce Dallas Howard. Emma had more character but less rebellious.

Action and cinematography is better in the reboot. It feels real this time especially the webbing aspect. As an avid comic reader especially of Marvel's, The Amazing Spider-Man does better justice to the comic world but just lack the actors to play it proper.
